Elna Sewing Machine

Originally a swiss made sewing machine, the designs have been sleek and beautiful.  My wife owned an Elna sewing machine for close to twenty years and used it in her sewing business although it was a home machine. 

Recently, Elna has gone through some transitions of ownership like other sewing machine companies.  It is currently, owned and operated by Janome which is the largest manufacturer of sewing machines in the world.  Janome also produces the Kenmore brand.

The Elna machines today will often look much like the Janome, however, there is a serious effort to maintain the elegance of the orginal Elna design.
